記事で書いてることそのまんまですが、ネットに接続したトースターがその日の天気の情報を引っ張ってきて、その天気のアイコンをトーストに焼き付けてくれるもの。こんな感じで↓
元となったBBCの記事には
Inspiration for the toaster also came from the MIT Tangible Media project which tries to turn everyday objects into carriers of information.
と書かれていますが、トーストに近くの近所のスーパーのその日の特売商品が焼き付けられたり、その日の主要ニュースが焼き付けられるなんて可能性もあるわけですね。（「解像度」が大いに問題だとは思いますが）
食べ物にまで情報を載せてなんて、なんだか窮屈なイメージもあるかもしれませんが、面白いアイディアだなぁ。
